AMELIA ACADEMY CULINARY CLASS MAKES CHEESECAKE
2019, January 25: The culinary class at Amelia Academy, instructed by Chef Karen Berry, tried their hands at making a cheesecake. The final result looked good, but the "proof was in the pudding"; the taste testers rated the cheesecake as an A++ and were looking for more!
Culinary students Mitchell C. and Kelly F. prepare the ingredients for the cheesecake.
Kelly F. takes a turn at mixing the prepared ingredients for the cheesecake.
Kelly F. waits for the go-ahead to put the finished batter in the cake pan.
Mr. Childress (left) and Mr. Ratliff served as the offical tasters for the finished cheesecake. I would say from the looks on their faces that they loved it! Mr. Childress originally said he wanted cherries on his slice, but after tasting it without the cherries he said "WOW, this doesn't NEED cherries! It's the best I ever had!" He went on to let the students know they had done an excellent job on this project and was looking forward to more.
