AA LPT Block Party a Success

photo

The Amelia Academy League of Parents and Teachers (LPT) held their first annual neighborhood block party on Saturday, September 16th. The event was free and open to the public to help build rapport between the school and the neighborhood. Local vendors were invited to attend, setting up tables with information or craft goods. Local food vendor, Super Frog, LLC, was the food vendor, serving mac and cheese, sliders, and other food choices. The Hurricane Harvey Reliefe effort was also active, and several donations were made to the "Fill the Truck" effort. One local family delivered 41 cases of bottled water donated by Wal*Mart in Powhatan, and other non-perishable items.
