Amelia Academy Senior Brianna G. receives D.A.R. Good Citizen Award



The James Allen Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution each year recognizes a senior at Amelia Academy who exhibits the following qualities: dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. This year the Academy’s recipient of the D.A.R. Good Citizen Award is Brianna Kay G.

Brianna is or has been a member of the middle school, J.V., and Varsity volleyball and basketball teams, the Scholastic Bowl Team, the science club, the pep club, yearbook staff, and the forensic team. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and has participated in both the Veterans’ Program and the Coffee Cabaret. Brianna has served her school as both the Student Government Organization reporter and treasurer and her class as treasurer and president. Outside of school, she is active in Amelia’s Young Life community.

Brianna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven G. of Amelia and has been accepted to Liberty University and Randolph-Macon College. She plans to major in athletic training.
