Goal Setting for Your Child Seminars Scheduled for Seventh through Tenth Grade Parents
Parents are invited to attend Goal Setting for Your Child seminar. Seventh and eighth grade parents scheduled for Wednesday, September 15, from 7 to 8 pm and ninth and tenth grade parents are scheduled for Tuesday, September 14, from 7 to 8 pm. Please RSVP by calling (804) 561-2270.
Hot Dog Dinner for Juniors and Seniors
Juniors and Seniors and their parents are invited to a Hot Dog Dinner on Wednesday, September 8, at 5:30 pm. Do not forget to bring a dish. Herff Jones will be here on Wednesday at 8 a.m. to take orders for class rings and graduation announcements. Deposits are necessary for ring orders and payments in full for announcement orders. Class pictures, fall sports pictures and senior portraits also will be taken Wednesday morning.
Parents Night Out!!!!
Lady Patriots basketball players are giving parents a break on Saturday, September 25, from 5:30 to 11 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Your child will receive dinner, do a craft, play games, eat popcorn and watch a movie on the big screen! All of this for only $25, two children for $40 and three children for $60! Most babysitters cost $5 an hour so this is a real bargain! Coach Shanaberger and Coach Owens will be there supervising the entire evening. Dress your child in play clothes and have them bring pajamas or sweats, their pillow and sleeping bag/blanket for the movie! Support your Lady Patriots and get a night out too! Great evening for fun or Christmas shopping! Please sign up in the office by September 17. Only Amelia Academy family members please.
2010 Volleyball Season Underway
Congratulations Lady Patriots for an exciting start to the 2010 volleyball season. An exceptional game for our JV team with a 2-1 victory over Southampton Academy and Varsity gave last year’s VCC champions a run for their money with a 1-3 loss. Great job ladies!
We Need Your Help
The Amelia Academy Library Committee will be having a yard/bake sale on Saturday, September 25. Please start gathering your gently used "treasures" and plan to bake your favorite treats. The proceeds from the sale will be used to offset the cost of our newly remodeled library. Thank you, in advance, for your support.
